The Mechanicsburg Area School District provides transportation to elementary students living more than 1.5 miles (elementary) or 2 miles (secondary) provided those living within these thresholds do not have to cross or walk along a hazardous roadway.  Hazardous roadway designations are issued by PennDOT.
