Breakfast is available at NO COST to all MASD students.
In addition, students qualifying for reduced price meals will also receive lunch at NO COST.

What does a meal look like?
We participate in offer vs. serve at breakfast and lunch. We offer all required components and students can take or decline as they wish.
Breakfast we offer:
- Bread/Grain
- Fruits
- Milk
Students must chose a minimum of 3 food items including at least a 1/2 cup serving of fruit.
Example: Breakfast sandwich counts as 2 items
Lunch we offer:
- Fruits
- Vegetables
- Grain/Bread
- Meat or Meat Alternative
- Milk
Students must choose at least 3 of the 5 food components, including at least a 1/2 cup serving of fruit or vegetables. They can choose 2 fruits and 2 vegetables with each meal.
Example: Pizza counts as 2 components (Grain and Meat )
Cheeseburger also counts as 2 components (Grain and Meat)

If a students does not take the required items, cashiers will encourage them to take the necessary items before charging a la carte prices. The district is committed to providing healthy meal options for all students.
