The Mechanicsburg Area School District provides guidance and counseling services for all students.  A competent staff of 4 high school, 3 middle school, and 7 elementary school counselors focus on the development of pupils as persons capable of self-control, self-direction, and self-appraisal.  Services include individual and group counseling, consultation, communication, student orientation, career development, maintaining student records, student placement, crisis intervention, referral for local resources, and program coordination.
